General Practice Welfare Benefits/Care Advisor

Full-Time position


We are looking to recruit well organised and enthusiastic individuals to work with general practices in Colchester & Tendring to provide advice and information to patients in obtaining services from voluntary and statutory organisations, and in particular in obtaining welfare benefits.


The GP Care Advisor will be attached to a group of practices within the Colchester & Tendring Area and be part of a GP Care Advisor team, although will predominantly be working on their own. Use of own car essential. The post will be a fixed term permanent role, full time or part time available. The days can be discussed and agreed.


Training on social care and local services will be provided to fulfil the job role, although prior knowledge would be desirable. Up to date knowledge and experience of providing welfare benefit advice and completing benefit claim forms is essential.


Full time: Salary £21,388 pa

Annual Holiday Entitlement: 21 days pa plus bank holidays
